Doo-dads, gizmos, swing aides and other novelties litter the golf world, so much so that it can be hard to distinguish one product from another. Unless they’re from Southwest Florida. A theme that emerged in Thursday’s inaugural Southwest Florida Golf Expo at Germain Arena was the array of ancillary golf products that are conceived-of, built or at least marketed in the area.
One in particular was our Divot Genie Product. Fort Myers resident Jim Zadrozny was on hand helping his father-in-law – Fort Myers resident Bob Hughes, inventor of the Divot Genie – promote the roughly year-old product to golfers and retailers. “We’ve sold more (today) than we have at every other show,” Zadrozny said of the magnetic divot fixer, which fits over the face of putters.
